The Gloucestershire Cricket Board are making massive strides in the development of cricket in the county. A big focus at the moment is VI cricket. The main target is to start up a county VI team that play against other counties in a national tournament.
We know that this won’t happen over night and the first stage of this process is to identify people with a visual impairment that would like to play cricket or have a passion about cricket.
We are currently doing similar things with physical disabilities and learning difficulties and these areas are thriving. Hopefully if we can identify 15 to 20 people over the county that would like to be involved in VI cricket we will have the foundation of a county team.
All cricket coaches will be qualified to level 2 and be CRB checked along with a vast knowledge of cricket.
